DRAFT LIKE A REAL CAPTAIN

Full CM solo, ranked PvP, or a private room with a friend (same bans, reserves, and timers), then macro prep and a simulated match.

  • Full pick/ban sequence
  • Solo AI captain, ranked PvP, or a friend in a private room
  • Match log and scoring system

What you're playing

Outdraft. Outthink. Outclimb.

Win through drafting discipline, lineup synergy, and macro decisions—not lane mechanics.

Match engine

You finish the draft.Everything after is consequence.

Lanes collapse early. Greedy cores get punished. One smoke rotation can crack the map and swing the next fifteen minutes. The engine tracks vision, spikes, economy, tilt, and desperation — fights erupt when state breaks, not from scripts.

High-ground stalls, bad Rosh calls, and momentum swings stay earned. Sandbox-first: draft wild comps, force chaos, split-push until it snaps — the simulation answers back.

Standings

One ladder for everyone

Wins pay forward; losses stick. Everyone shares the same ladder — draft and calls are what move the number.

  • Good runs add rating you have to defend on the next ticket.
  • Losses cost rating like everyone else.
  • Medal icons mirror the live board so you always know your band.

FAQ

How it works

Plain-language answers for first-time captains — draft flow, simulator panels, and what counts on the ladder.

Getting started

A fan-built Captain's Mode practice client. Solo: roll faction and pick order, draft against an AI captain, lock a playbook, simulate, and climb the ladder. PvP: queue ranked Versus for a public MMR ladder, or share a room code for a casual match against a friend. It's not the Dota 2 client and doesn't replace playing the game.

Keep the draft client running

This is a nights-and-weekends build. If Captain's Mode ever made your night a little better, a tip helps with hosting and time to keep improving things.

  • Servers, domains, and the boring bills that keep this online.
  • Hours for ranked Versus, career layers, and ideas people keep sending in.
  • Totally optional. Share the love if you feel like it, and we'll keep making it better.
